Crochet flower tunic top
Hello Everyone,
How is your weekend coming along ? Mine is just going great with pretty good weather, favorite Indian snacks and some crochet indulgence. What more do you need to call it perfect… 🙂
On weekdays, I always crave for 15 more minutes to sleep, so by Friday evening, there’s a big part of me that wants to just go home and crawl into bed, but the temptation to crochet (and the feeling of not having to wake up early the next day of course) just gets the better of me. Many such weekends during the last month resulted in this.

~*~*~*~ My first ever Crochet Tunic Top ~*~*~*~

My bestie got married last month and I made this as her wedding gift. I showed it to her and she loved it 🙂 I’m happy happy!!!
It feels great to gift something handmade as it has a personal touch. I guess it feels even better to receive one 😉
Have you received any handmade gifts on your wedding ?

After reading this post, a few other friends of mine will surely start fuming with anger as I did not make anything for them on their wedding. But I do have an excuse as, back then I either didn’t crochet or was just a beginner. 😉

The pattern to the flower can be found here . This video just explains the pattern for the flower.
I couldn’t find the pattern on how the flowers should be joined to convert it to a top. I just did it myself by looking at the finished top shown in the beginning of the video. But I must agree, it did take me some time to figure it out. I made a lot of mistakes in the beginning as the flowers have to be joined as you go and ended up unraveling them many times. This top also required more number of flowers than the one in the video as I’ve used thinner yarn and a 3mm hook. But when it was all done, the gratification was worth all the effort. And all of this makes this top extra special for me 🙂

Now I’m off to have some rajma usli (Red kidney bean salad -Indian style)

Happy Women’s Day!!
Till I post again!
